THE IMPORTANCE IN
MEDITATION OF PROTECTION
Meditation is a very personal thing. Many people do it to bring about a total relaxed state and when practiced can bring about an altered state of awareness.
It is at these times that you can connect with your higher self and are able to bring yourself deep subconscious views.
Questions that you may want answered, if you are in need, seem readily given to you and often a person experiences a feeling of wellbeing and much calm.
It has very therapeutic effects not only on the mind but on the body as well.
People often see their blood pressure calm down and their body experiencing a total release of tension and anxiety.
Breathing is also balanced and a general calm, which can last for several days, is enjoyed.
Meditation has the benefits of giving a person balance in their lives and most are able to see life in a much calmer, more organised way.
So as you develop throughout your years, you start to enjoy all these benefits and feelings of being more connected with the earth and all its beauty.
You start to see life in a more balanced and less anxious state allowing that feeling of wellbeing to take over and being much more at peace within yourself.
All this sounds marvellous and it certainly is, but certain important precautions need to be attended to so not to interfere while you are in this deep state of meditation.
Precautions like not allowing loud noises to intrude or upset the delicate balance of this meditative state, so telephones should be switched off or put on silent.
You should make sure that no one will enter your room as the initial shock of the intruder could well upset the delicate state you are in and place you in a harmful way.
You would become quite disorientated and emotionally upset, deeply agitated and unnerved as if you had been brought back suddenly from a very deep sleep and don’t know where you were.
What is most important is to always ask before you start your meditation in the form of a prayer that a protection of love surrounds you and that no harm from any negative vibrational energies should ever come near you.
When going into a meditative state you do render yourself vulnerable to external negative forces and so it is imperative that you guard yourself at all times.
As you become accustomed to going deeper into meditation and when a deep trance state is induced, then it would be advisable for another experienced person to be with you, who could quietly sit with you and place a watchful protective eye over you.
This would give the individual a feeling of reassurance and peace of mind that everything has been covered and it is now completely safe to go deep into that meditative trance state.
For most of us who wish only to go into a light meditation then just a prayer of protection is required.
Very low volume meditation music can be played allowing help to the individual to focus their mind so that an easy transition into that relaxed state can be achieved.
As I said before, meditation is a very personal thing and what benefits one does not always do for another.
It is the short term and long term benefits to the individual which ultimately are important here.
